Continuous professional learning (CPL) modules

As well as qualifications, continuous professional learning is an essential component of early learning and childcare quality is linked to childrens' development.

We are hosting a suite of modules listed below on behalf of the Scottish Government. These are online modules of continuous professional learning that are free to everyone working in early learning and childcare:

Understanding the Social Factors which may impact on children’s outcomes in the Early Years.

Supporting Parents to Further Engage in their Child’s Development.

Supporting the development and progression of children’s early language and literacy.

Developing an understanding of curriculum rationale.

Tracking and monitoring.

Identifying and responding to additional support needs in ELC.
