Dementia: understanding stress and distress

Growing numbers of the social service workforce are working with people with dementia every day. A dementia skilled, workforce will play a significant role in ensuring that people with dementia, their families and carers experience a good quality of life. Workers in adult social service settings have told us they need to be better informed and better skilled in working with people with dementia. This book will support the social service workforce to develop the knowledge and practice the skills they need.

This book will also be of interest to workers in other sectors and to family members and informal carers of people living with dementia.
