Principles of Care eBook has been designed to help readers develop
better understanding of the principles and values which underpin social
service practice. These principles are the keystones upon which your
care and support practice rests. If yo adhere to these principles, you
will meet the expectations of your employers, the SSSC, people who use
services and, most importantly, yourself. Although this learning resource has been

all your work, you may find it particularly helpful if you are
undertaking, or are about to undertake, a Scottish Vocational
